Igniting Engagement: The Key to Retaining Top Talent

Join us for the first Development Day of 2025!

Engagement and retention are inherently connected—one cannot be achieved without the other.

On our first Development Day of 2025, we are thrilled to bring you three invaluable sessions that will dive deep into the strategies, tools and practices that will empower you to drive lasting engagement and boost retention in your workforce. Together, we’ll explore the latest insights and data around engagement, brought to you by the industry leader in employee research, Gallup; understand what approaches to make when managing a multi-generational team; and hear first-hand experiences and innovative solutions from top leaders in an insightful panel discussion. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity, designed for those who are keen to understand the power of leadership and cultivating strong, enduring connections with their teams, clients, or audiences.

Session 1 - Engagement in 2025: Are you meeting the standard?

9.00am – 10.00am AEST | 10.00am – 11.00am AEDT | 12:00pm - 1:00pm NZDT
Claire DeCarteret, Managing Director, Workplace Advisory, Workplace Advisory APAC Advisors, Gallup

We kick off Development Day with Claire DeCarteret, Managing Director, APAC at Gallup, who will provide an exclusive deep dive into Gallups ‘State of the Global Workplace Survey’. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore key data on how we measure up against industry leaders both in ANZ and internationally when it comes to engagement and retaining our most valuable assets: our people. Claire will discuss the most pressing employee pain points and areas challenging leaders. She will share insights on how to better equip yourself and your organisation to foster a culture of engagement and retain our top talent.

Session 2 - Bridging the gap: Engagement strategies for leading a multi-generational workforce

10.30am – 11.30am AEST | 11.30pm – 12.30pm AEDT | 1:30pm - 2:30pm NZDT
Kylie Denton, Founder & Director, Performance Advisory Group

For the first time in history, we are leading a workforce that spans up to five distinct generations — each with unique values, communication styles, work preferences, and motivations. This diversity can often challenge our unconscious biases and leadership approaches. In our second session of the day, Kylie Denton, Founder & Director, Performance Advisory Group, will guide you through a comprehensive understanding of generational traits and how they influence workplace interactions.

You will learn practical strategies and psychological insights to bridge generational gaps, foster collaboration, and build an inclusive environment that capitalises on the strengths of every generation. This session is designed to help you embrace the diversity of your multigenerational workforce, driving innovation, engagement, and productivity to create a more dynamic and cohesive work environment. By the end, you’ll be equipped with the tools to lead with confidence, ensuring your workplace thrives across all age groups.
