David Pich CMgr FIML

Chief Executive

As Chief Executive of IML ANZ since June 2015, David is responsible to the Board for the delivery of IML ANZ’s 3-year Leadership Matters strategy, and for the leadership of the wider IML ANZ team.

His passion is in setting and driving strategy for the benefit of IML ANZ’s Members and defining IML ANZ’s internal culture for the benefit of employees.

Susanne Behrendt FIML

General Manager Operations and Company Secretary

As GM Finance & Operations and Company Secretary, Susanne holds a dual role at IML.

Susanne is very excited to be involved at all levels, from Governance, to strategy setting and then the implementation at an operational level.

On a day-to-day basis Susanne looks after all aspects of the organisation’s administrative services, including finance & accounting, HR, IT and legal affairs.

As Company Secretary Susanne supports the Board in their role as the governing body of IML and ensures that we meet all compliance obligations.

Samuel Bell FIML

General Manager, Membership and Corporate Solutions

Samuel is an experienced management professional with a track record of achievement in senior roles across financial services, education and peak body related industries. Graduated from the University of Queensland and Deakin University with an undergraduate in economics and postgraduate qualifications including an MBA and Master of Public Policy.

As the General Manager, Membership and Corporate Solutions at IML ANZ, he is responsible for managing the following business units at IML ANZ:

  • IML Membership (formally the Australian Institute of Management Membership)
  • IML Management and Leadership Corporate Consulting
  • IML Leadership Programs
  • Chartered Manager Program and the Continuous Professional Development Framework
  • People Analytics (management diagnostic tools)
  • IML National Salary Survey

Lauren Heasman CMgr FIML

General Manager Marketing and Brand

Lauren joined IML ANZ in March 2016 and is a member of the Leadership Team.

As the GM for Marketing and Brand, Lauren is responsible for managing the strategic approach to marketing and positioning IML ANZ as the peak body for managers and leaders in Australia.

Lauren manages the planning and execution of all IML ANZ marketing and communication activities including media presence, branding, content, the IML ANZ voice, advertising, website development and our digital strategy.

Margot Smith FIML

General Manager, Product Development, Membership & Higher Education

Margot is an experienced General Manager with a demonstrated history of working in both professional membership bodies and also corporate stakeholder management and events roles. She is skilled in leadership, continuing professional development, event management, budgeting, business planning, strategy, coaching, and marketing. Margot is a strong leadership professional who graduated from UTS and Sydney University, as well as undertaking the AICD Directors Course.

Margot’s real passion is leading a team of professionals who get excited about delivering value to key partners within the industry, as well as customers and creating long lasting relationships.
