Leading as a Coach: The Future of Leadership?
Many leaders think they are also a coach to their team, but the reality is often very different. The truth is, usually the busier we get, the more we often tell people what to do – or we tend to just do it ourselves.
“I haven’t got time to coach people”
By taking this stance as a leader, we often end up taking the time to solve problems unnecessarily, solve the wrong problems, or don’t even get to the root cause of an issue. Time and money can be wasted and productivity plummets. Groupthink, demotivation, and disengagement can then become the norm.
The question is: can you afford not to be a Coaching Leader?
Whether managing hybrid, remote or office-based teams, being a leader as well as a coach is arguably the single most effective tool managers can use to develop team members, boost productivity, engagement, emotional intelligence, and valuable collaboration.
In this enlightening and insightful session, Simon Smith FIML, CEO, Southern Cross Coaching & Development, will provide practical insights, case studies, and tools you can immediately apply back in your workplace to supercharge productivity and enhance psychological and psychosocial well-being. This shift could be the catalyst to elevating engagement, fostering collaboration, and igniting innovation within your team.
