This 4-week program is designed to rapidly develop the fundamental skills required to take management and leadership capability to the next level. Intentional Leadership™: Essentials supports leaders to manage and lead teams in varying contexts, combining facilitated learning, online study, profiling, leadership coaching, mentoring and workplace projects for long-term real-world impact.

For those relatively new to managing, those stepping into leadership roles for the first time or even experienced manager looking for a refresher, Leadership Essentials has something for everyone.
The virtual sessions will step through elements from the IML ANZ Competency Framework including relevant topics focusing on self-management, leading individuals and teams and finally keeping momentum when things get tough.

Grant is a well-respected, engaging and energetic facilitator and coach who believes the secret to an organisation’s future lies in its ability to engage, empower and inspire its own greatest asset, its people. He uses his significant experience as a senior leader and change agent to help clients create a leadership culture that drives business results by harnessing the power of its people.
Grant has worked in a variety of industries and sectors, including defence, medical devices and diagnostics, customer service, sales and marketing. Grant has considerable experience working with client in government, private sector and not-for-profits organisations. He has a talent for engaging audiences from front-line workers to CEOs to bring about meaningful and lasting change. This combined with his drive to achieve sustained business performance through developing leaders and empowering people, ensures a solid return on investment for his clients.
Over the past 12 years, Lorraine has partnered with organisations to strengthen their business capability and effectiveness across strategic planning and execution, governance structures, leadership development, operational capability, stakeholder alignment and engagement, improved systems and processes, transformation projects, and team development.
Lorraine is also a lecturer, course coordinator, and facilitator for an MBA Program and Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship across subjects including organisational behaviour, leadership, strategic human resources, start-ups, and governance.
She challenges the status quo to maximise performance, with specialised expertise in effective stakeholder collaboration and engagement, customer experience, financial business performance, and professional growth and development of teams.
Marni Cook has worked with businesses large and small across sectors including auto, pharmacy, health, fashion, convenience, department Stores, professional services and travel. Marni was Program Director at the Australian Centre for Retail Studies at Monash University, designing and delivering executive education programs for retail and wholesale businesses.
More recently, Marni enjoyed a 5-year tenure as an Industry Professor at the University of Adelaide Business School and Program Director, Wine Business. Since 2006 Marni has worked as a consultant, advisor, educator, mentor and facilitator. Marni is passionate about developing the business acumen of industry professionals. A strong advocate of meeting industry needs through education, Marni has worked with a diverse client base, including Coopers, Yalumba, Caltex, Department of Defence, Myer, Red Cross, Repco, and Toyota.
Kerry is passionate about developing leaders and has designed and delivered programs and workshops covering all aspects of leadership development. She develops and implements strategies that transform people, teams and organisations, resulting in building high levels of confidence, fulfilment and passion in people. Kerry provides intuitive guidance in her individual coaching of leaders of every level in their life and career. Kerry has also worked extensively at an international level. Her style as a facilitator, coach and consultant is highly collaborative. Kerry has worked in many industries including construction, defence and pharmaceuticals. She has delivered numerous programs for IML ANZ including Foundations of Intentional Leadership™ and various tailored programs for organisations who are looking to make meaningful improvements in their leadership capability.

Mark has over 20 years of experience in corporate and military training and facilitation. Mark focuses on assisting organisations to lead the change they aspire to rather than attempting to manage it.
Mark works with some of Australasia’s largest corporations facilitating leadership programs and assisting these organisations through the change process. Mark has significant experience in working in remote and often dangerous environments.
Coupled with his extensive immersion in regional cultures he brings a level of cultural understanding second to none. He has significant experience in the Indo Pacific, developing and delivering culturally appropriate training in project management, leadership, team development, work prioritisation, communication and health and safety.
Matthew’s experience includes working with executive managers to align their personal strategy to corporate strategy, developing leadership styles and strategies that enable executives to identify and leverage value through thought leadership. He has an ability to solve complex organisational problems through identifying core problems/stumbling blocks and transform obstacles into inspirational opportunities. Matthew has worked extensively with executives across a wide range of industries and sectors. He has worked to enhance performance with senior managers in education, resources, energy and utilities, eco-tourism, marketing, finance and banking industries among others. He is also the Program Director of the Australian Graduate School of Management’s flagship General Managers Program.
Alan is a specialist in enhancing leadership capability and developing positive organisational culture. He has extensive experience in all aspects of generalist human resources and a proven track record of building capability and engagement for leadership groups and their teams. Alan uses coaching and group facilitation methodologies and is a skilled negotiator and project manager. He has worked with a wide range of organisations in engineering, manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods, shipping and defence industries both in the UK and in Australia. He is pragmatic and business focused but driven to help people fulfil their aspirations. Alan works with openness and inclusivity, engaging individuals and groups and relishes the challenge of new contexts, new industries and new people.
Rupert Bryce has over 15 years’ experience in leadership development, human resources, consulting and coaching. While he has worked with most top 50 ASX companies he loves exploring new industries and new contexts. Rupert’s highly developed coaching skills have helped many employers fulfil their commitment to achieve greater employee performance and engagement, developing strategic thinking skills with high potential employees. Highly result oriented and solution focused, Rupert has a reputation in delivering innovative , engaging and highly effective leadership programs that lead to significant return on investment and value for the individual. Rupert uses evidence-based psychological tools and solution-focused coaching to build thinking skills, insight and self-awareness in his clients.
Jon is a transformer of leaders, teams and workplaces and a facilitator of growth, development and change. He has extensive private and public sector experience in operational delivery, organisational change, personal performance and team development in Europe, USA, Australasia and the Far East. His energetic and collaborative facilitation style is both supportive and challenging. He likes to encourage innovation, creativity and opportunistic change management. In New Zealand, Jon has led significant change projects and activities in the public sector including merging the Auckland City and Auckland Regional Councils and rolling out a new customer-centric culture program across 44 sports and leisure centres in 2017. He has consulted with, and led training in, contexts as diverse as intellectual disability services, Fire and Emergency NZ, glasshouse horticulture, and the NZ Police service. Jon was also involved in prisoner rehabilitation and fostering the potential and independence in those with intellectual disabilities.
