Innovation in SA: From inspiration to implementation

Driving Innovation Through Leadership

The Institute of Managers and Leaders are delighted to be hosting our next Adelaide event at the stunning South Australian Museum, where we will explore the theme: Driving Innovation Through Leadership.

In today’s rapidly evolving world, effective leadership requires more than just management — it demands a bold, innovative mindset. This event will explore how forward-thinking leaders are embracing innovation to tackle complex challenges, drive organisational growth, and lead transformative change.

Our dynamic panel of South Australian leaders – Scott Bayliss, Chief Services Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance; Adam Moriarty, Director of Collections and Research at the SA Museum; Elena Brooks, Chief Wine Maker and Owner at Dandelion Wine; and, Helen Leake AM, Venerated Film Maker and Producer – will share their unique perspectives and real-world experiences, showcasing local and global examples of innovation in action. You’ll hear firsthand how modern leadership is being redefined — right here in SA and beyond.

At this session, you can expect:

  • Insightful discussion on the future of leadership and innovation
  • Practical tools and actionable frameworks to inspire innovation within your own teams
  • Real success stories from local leaders driving change in their sectors
  • Opportunity to network with the broader Adelaide business and leadership community

Whether you’re leading a team, shaping strategy, or looking to spark change, this event will equip you with the insights and inspiration to lead with innovation at the core.
