The Institute of Managers and Leaders has supported the global International Women’s Day (IWD) initiative since 1998. Our 2018 event occurred on 8 March in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and it was bigger and better than ever before.
This year’s debate was designed to celebrate the importance of gender diversity in the workplace and throughout society, and our esteemed debaters discussed the topic:
‘The Future is Female’: Equality . Diversity . Progress .
Six hand-picked, interesting and opinionated Australian leaders debated the topic alongside our equally interesting and witty MC’s, who included Gretel Killeen (Sydney), Corinne Grant (Brisbane) and Jane Caro. (Melbourne).
We also held IWD events in Toowoomba and Sunshine Coast. Although these weren’t held in a debate setting, they were a great chance for people from all sectors to come together for a social, enlightening and inspirational lunch.
