The benefits of coaching and mentoring have been discussed for as long as we can remember. But what makes a great mentorship? How can you coach another individual (or yourself) in a way that’s conducive to achieving goals, developing skills and personal awareness?

The next instalment of IML’s webinar series explores the elements of good coaching practices and mentoring tips to promote personal development. If you want to improve your coaching skills to develop the people in your team, or simply to give back by mentoring someone at an earlier point in their career, this webinar will give you the content to enhance your skills.

Guest speaker Julian Carle has personally trained hundreds of leaders in accredited and non-accredited programs and advocates for effective mentoring practices to develop individuals into the best leaders they can be. With over fourteen years’ experience in leadership education, he has worked with a multitude of companies and industries including smaller not for profit organisations right through to ASX top 50. As Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Synergen Group, Julian’s work reflects his passion for mentoring and belief that mentoring can accelerate leadership development.

During this session you will learn:

  • How to develop yourself and others with mentoring
  • The ‘rules’ of a great mentorship
  • How to evaluate and motivate

*Please note that this is a recorded session.

As Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Synergen Group, Julian couldn’t be any more passionate about leadership! He lives it, breathes it and has designed his company and career to further develop leaders into the best leaders they can be.

Julian has been working in leadership education for over fourteen years and during that time has had the pleasure of working across a range of companies and industries including smaller not for profit organisations right through to ASX top 50. By working with those organisations he has personally trained hundreds of leaders in accredited and non-accredited programs and because of his passion for teaching, created the Certified Master Trainer program.

He is the author of “Give Back. Lead Forward: Why every leader should be a mentor and have a mentor” which is a reflection of his passion for mentoring and belief that mentoring can accelerate leadership development.

He continues to refine his personal leadership in the role of Chief Executive and is fascinated by the changing definition of leadership.
