On Wednesday 26th July IML’s Geelong Regional Advisory Committee together with CPA Australia held a networking event in the new Brownlow Stand at Simonds Stadium, Geelong.
Lauren Watt FIML, Finance Manager of the Geelong Football club provided attendees with great insights into the scale of the $91 million-dollar project and the leadership strengths required to complete the project in just 2 short years. One of the key takeaways from the presentation was the power of collaboration with State Government, Local Government, AFL, the local community and the Geelong Football Club all playing key roles in the development.
The highlight of the evening was a tour of the new Brownlow stands state of the art facilities. The tour took in the Fully Renovated Gym, Deep Water Pool, Player Locker Rooms, 65 Seat Auditorium, Coaches Box and Warm-up Area incorporating the world class GMHBA Fan viewing Portal.
The much improved home of the Geelong Cats impressed all in attendance and the event provided guests with a great opportunity to network with fellow members of IML, CPA and the local business community.
