To understand what kind of leader and manager you are, and want to be, you must start with self-awareness. The Accelerate program begins with 3 different tools designed to help you understand how you work and what kind of personality you are.
Through self assessment, DiSC informs communication style, decision making tendencies and preferred working environments.
Genos measures how well you demonstrate emotionally intelligent leadership competencies in your role.
Gain insightful feedback on attributes that are critical to management and leadership best practice, based on IML ANZ’s Manage and Lead Competency Framework.
We explore the key factors influencing participants’ personal and professional backgrounds, strengths, challenges and visions. To support this, we debrief the IML 360.
This module will develop your understanding of how leaders achieve results through different environmental factors as well as how we focus our time and enable others. We will also debrief the Genos EI tools.
This module centres on your role as a business leader in delivering and implementing the organisation’s vision, mission, values and standards across your team. This unit will enable you to determine critical business success factors, goals and objectives and to identify key stakeholder relationships critical to advancing organisational outcomes.
This module will enable you to refine your interactions to generate valuable business insights, boost and measure performance outcomes and strengthen workplace relationships. It will equip you with the communication tools and theories to better engage staff, build cohesive teams and foster a culture of information exchange.
Module five focuses on hiring, developing and managing people to stimulate business performance and employee engagement. It highlights the importance of a comprehensive process for recruitment and selection, talent succession planning and career management.
In this module, you will be equipped with key skills to lead teams of managers. This unit will empower you to confidently motivate high performance, manage team conflict, build a strong business culture, encourage long-term commitment and support individual aspirations.
This module delivers insights to help you create a business climate that fosters creativity and innovation in your organisation. It will explore the crucial balance of knowledge, imagination and evaluation in the success of innovative proposals, as well as the role of the leader in managing creativity to produce practical outcomes valuable to the organisation.
Module eight is all about change, a cornerstone focus area in navigating contemporary business and leadership. The unit will empower you to develop skills to manage stakeholder relationships during the transition, communicate implementation plans, set up mechanisms to measure financial and cultural outcomes, and manage the impact of change on people.
This module challenges the idea that results are purely the by-product of management alone, rather the specific actions leaders need to take to ensure that results flow from the broader team’s efforts, tactical business planning and strong strategic thinking.
The final module focuses on the impact of your leadership actions and behaviours on performance. You will create a 3-to-6-month workplace project drawing together the program’s learning outcomes with a focus on yourself, your team and the organisation.
At the 6-month mark, you will present your workplace experiment results and undertake a second IML 360 that will be debriefed by your coach. You will be able to compare your pre and post results and reflect on the development of your leadership credentials to manage work pressures from the middle.
IML ANZ’s exclusive mentoring program provides an ideal opportunity for ongoing development after the completion of the program. A mentor is matched based on experience and individual learning goals, and works with you for the next 4 months.
